01 — What happened

The full story, in order.

In December 2025, B Mööbel OÜ (Tallinn, Estonia) placed a $9,450 order with Qingdao Holztech Machinery Co., Ltd. for an HT306Y edge banding machine, MF9020 dust collector, and MZ73211A drilling machine. Payment was made in full via bank transfer to their Singapore JPMorgan account.

The machines arrived in March 2026. The edge banding machine — the most expensive item — was delivered completely destroyed. All evidence points to the machine being dropped from height during transit. The frame was permanently bent, the controller cracked, and multiple components broken loose. The machine is beyond repair. DHL damage was formally registered on a CMR consignment note and the machine was refused.

Holztech acknowledged the damage and promised a free replacement. Months later, no replacement has been delivered and communication has all but stopped.

03 — The damage

Destroyed beyond repair.

The HT306Y edge banding machine arrived without its wooden crate, lying sideways in the delivery truck. All evidence — the bent main frame, the impact crater in the body, the displaced internal components — points to the machine being dropped from significant height during transit. The frame deformation alone makes the machine permanently unsafe and unusable for precision work.

These photos were taken on delivery day and in the days following. They were shared in full with Holztech and used to support DHL's insurance claim process.

How a $4,920 machine was delivered

Edge banding machine sitting loose in truck without any crating or packaging
No crate. No packaging. Loose in the truck. This is how the HT306Y arrived. The wooden shipping crate had been completely destroyed in transit.

Damage documentation

Bent main frame rail
Main frame bent — the machine body is no longer structurally straight
Cracked controller panel
Control panel — cracked on impact
Cracked feed rail
Feed rail — fractured from the fall
Broken components
Internal components — broken loose from their mounts
Major impact dent from the fall
Point of impact

This is where it hit the ground.

The force required to produce this deformation is consistent with a drop from warehouse racking height or a forklift incident. The frame deflection visible throughout the machine originates from this impact point.

The machine is not repairable. A bent frame cannot be straightened to the tolerances required for precision edge banding. It is scrap.

"The structure is not straight. So it cannot do precise edge banding... the frame is not straight and not OK structurally — this cannot be repaired."
